The company was originally founded as Ricarla Co. in 1985 by Rich Capolupo, who began by providing sandblasting and painting services for boats, steel structures, and commercial buildings. In 1992, Rich formally incorporated the business as Prime Coatings, Inc., marking the company’s entry into the specialized field of rapid-deployment industrial coatings and maintenance.
Since its incorporation, Prime Coatings has steadily grown into an industry leader, serving public and private sector clients across Massachusetts and New Hampshire. This growth has been fueled by the hard work, dedication, and expertise of its team members, whose collective efforts have positioned the company at the forefront of the industrial coatings and highway maintenance sectors.
With decades of field experience, Prime Coatings has developed a strong reputation for its work on a wide range of infrastructure projects. These include the cleaning and painting of elevated and ground-level water storage tanks, steel highway overpasses, and complex truss bridges over major waterways.
